He is actively involved in teaching, training, and supervision, and has published extensively on the intersection of professional ethics, law, and mental health. One of his recent areas of interest has been the way in which health care professionals can be made aware of the most frequent medical errors they may face in their work; these consist not so much of errors due to treatment, but rather systemic errors that impact on good clinical practice.
