Admissions Requirements

Applicants seeking admission to the Master of Science in Dentistry (MSCDM) program as full degree-seeking candidates must satisfy the following eligibility requirements:

  • Applicants must be admitted to a Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine (NSU-CDM) postgraduate certificate program in one of the following areas:
    • Endodontics
    • Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
    • Orthodontics
    • Pediatric Dentistry
    • Periodontics
    • Prosthodontics
    • Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD)
  • Students in the Orthodontics residency are automatically enrolled in the MSCDM program.
  • Students in other postgraduate programs may apply to the MSCDM, but must do so no later than the beginning of the Fall term following matriculation in their residency program, and must present a letter of recommendation from their program director.

Application Process

  • Complete and submit the MSCDM application online at apply.nova.edu
  • Submit required supporting documentation, including transcripts and recommendation letter.
  • Applications are reviewed by the MSCDM Admissions Committee.

Selection Criteria

Admission is competitive and based on:

  • Overall application content and quality
  • Academic performance
  • Test scores (required if the applicant does not hold a post-baccalaureate degree)
  • Letters of evaluation and program director recommendation
