COURSE DESCRIPTION

This clinical homeopathy course for dental practitioners, dental hygienists and surgeons will cover the background, pharmacology, and production of commonly utilized homeopathic remedies. The focus will be on adjunctive, clinical, pre-and post-surgical dental and oral health application of homeopathy by the clinician and dental surgeon. Treatment recommendations and prescriptions will be presented for various dental, surgical, periodontal, and oral conditions. This course will educate about homeopathy and help develop an appreciation for this modality of integrative oral medicine adjunctive to standard of care.

INSTRUCTOR BIO

Diana Bronstein, D.D.S., M.S., M.S., D.A.B.P., F.I.C.O.I., D.I.C.O.I.

Dr. Bronstein is a full professor and recently an Adjunct Clinical Professor at the Periodontology Department at Nova Southeastern University (NSU) College of Dental Medicine. She is licensed in the United States and Europe and is double boarded as a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and a Diplomate and Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantology. She received her Specialty Certification in Periodontology and Oral Implan­tology from Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry, as well as a Master of Science degree in Oral Biology. She later earned a Master of Science in Medical Education from NSU and is currently pursuing her master’s in medical law. She has coauthored academic textbook chapters which are mandatory literature for students in US dental schools. Her publications include clinical articles, as well as presentations on surgical and nonsurgical periodontal treatment and guided bone and tissue regeneration. Dr. Bronstein is certified by the Center for Education and Development of Clinical Homeopathy (CEDH) and holds a Diploma in Clinical Homeopathy. She has been part time and full time in private practice for 20 years.

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

At the End of the Presentation attendees will be able to:

  • Choose the correct medicine to treat a diagnosed oral, dental, or periodontal condition pre-and post-operatively.
  • Define and understand limitations and caveat of homeopathic treatment in dentistry.
  • List dental conditions and procedures and correlate with effects of homeopathic medicines.
  • Select the most appropriate treatment.
  • Recognize the benefit of adjunctive homeopathic treatment.
  • Write correct prescription of identified medications
