Our interactive, lecture/hands-on course is designed to give you a clear understanding and comfort level working with children while learning modern techniques and materials in all aspects of pediatric dentistry.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Our interactive, lecture/hands-on course is designed to give you a clear understanding and comfort level working with children while learning modern techniques and materials in all aspects of pediatric dentistry. Our course attendees realize an immediate impact on their practice as they gain confidence and increased proficiency, and quickly incorporate new techniques and technologies into their private practice. 

  • Learn it, See it, Do It.  Immerse yourself in the subject matter with interactive lecture discussion, and hands-on workshops. 
  • Develop confidence in your ability to perform procedures you weren't comfortable doing previously.
  • Separate yourself from your colleagues as you learn Dr. Chuong's clinical techniques.
  • Experience more than just another "how-to" course. You'll find out what really works, what doesn't, and learn "the why."

INSTRUCTOR BIO

Dr. Christopher E. Chuong is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He is a Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Emory University. Dr. Chuong graduated with High Honors from the University of Florida College of Dentistry and completed his specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry through Shands Hospital/University of Florida. Dr. Chuong has established 2 highly successful practices in Tampa, Florida area since 2012. He has completed over 2,500 sedation cases using various modalities, including IV sedation, General Anesthesia and Oral Conscious Sedation. He is ACLS and PALS certified. 

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

 

At the conclusion of the course, the participant will know how to confidently treat the pediatric patient and get predictable treatment results. 

Comprehensive and evidence-based practicum covering all aspects of pediatric dentistry

  • pulp therapy
  • space maintainenance / interceptive orthodontics
  • sedation dentistry

Hands-on SimLab training

  • perform both SSC and Zirconia crowns
  • anterior composite crowns
  • New bioactive restorative materials
  • Bioactive luting cements

Pediatric Educational Dental Seminars (P.E.D.S.)

Pediatric Educational Dental Seminars was founded by Dr. Christopher Chuong, a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist.

The goal is to help NEW DENTISTS (practicing 10 years or less) to define, meet and exceed their professional goals by providing practical, clinical, and scientific based courses that teach, inspire, and elevate their respective skill sets in pediatric dentistry.

Our course attendees realize an immediate impact on their practice as they gain confidence and increased proficiency, and quickly incorporate new techniques and technologies into their private practice. 

When you're ready for the whole story, there is no substitute for PEDS  proven and reliable continuum for pediatric dentistry. 

Course Locations

3200 S. University Drive Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33328

Day 1

  • Medical/ HPD Library Room 3205, using the parking garage as a starting point go down the hallway, through the double glass doors and straight down pass the juice Blends Cafe. Make a right where the elevators are located to the second floor. When off the elevator make a right down the hall. Room will be located to the left.

Day 2

  • College of Dental Medicine 2nd and 3rd floor,using the parking garage as a starting point go towards the hallway on the right to reach the side entrance of the Dental School. 
  • Breakfast and Lunch 3rd Floor Take the elevator to the 3rd floor where breakfast and lunch will be served in room 7313 straight down the hall to the left.
  • The hands-on course will be on the 2nd Floor in front of the elevator.
