This workshop will review and demonstrate the new generation metal-free restorative materials including Lithium disilicate and Zirconia based ceramics concerning strength, esthetics, and clinical applications. Preparation and cementation techniques, as well as product selection to maximize a successful clinical outcome will be reviewed. Predictable pre- and post-operative care will be discussed.

Sibel A. Antonson, D.D.S., Ph.D., M.B.A.
Dr. Antonson serves as faculty member and director of clinical research for the Department of Cariology and Restorative Dentistry at NSU’s College of Dental Medicine (NSU/CDM). She served as the clinical professor and the director of Dental Biomaterials at The State University of New York at Buffalo, School of Dental Medicine, and was also a director of education and professional services at Ivoclar Vivadent. Dr. Antonson has been involved with teaching, research and practice simultaneously at the University of Florida, Department of Dental Biomaterials (1997–2000) and NSU/CDM (2001–2008). In 2000, she was appointed new products manager at Dentsply Caulk where she invented and launched PoGo, the first one-step composite finishing and polishing device. She was president for the International Association of Dental Research, Dental Materials Group in 2007–2008, and currently serves as councilor. She has authored book chapters and peer-reviewed publications, and lectured nationally and internationally on dental biomaterials, prosthodontic and restorative techniques
