COURSE DESCRIPTION

This clinical homeopathy course for dental practitioners will cover the background, pharmacology, and production of commonly utilized homeopathic remedies of nonsurgical and supportive periodontal therapy and maintenance. The focus will be on adjunctive clinical dental hygiene and oral health application of homeopathy by the clinician. Treatments and over-the-counter recommendations and prescriptions will be presented for various dental, periodontal, and oral conditions.

INSTRUCTOR BIO

Diana Bronstein, D.D.S., M.S., M.S., FICOI, DICOI, DAAP

Bronstein is an associate professor and the associate predoctoral program director in the
periodontology department at Nova Southeastern University (NSU) College of Dental Medicine.
She is licensed in the United States and Europe and is double boarded as a Diplomate of the
American Academy of Periodontology and a Diplomate and Fellow of the International Congress of
Oral Implantology. She received her specialty certification in periodontology and oral implantology
from the Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry, as well as a Master of Science in
Oral Biology. She later earned a Master of Science in Medical Education from NSU. She has
coauthored academic textbook chapters and clinical articles, as well as presented seminars on
surgical and nonsurgical periodontal treatment and guided bone and tissue regeneration.

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

  • Choose the correct medicine to treat a diagnosed oral, dental, or periodontal condition.
  • Define limitations and caveat of homeopathic treatment in dentistry and dental hygiene.
  • List dental conditions and correlate with effects of homeopathic medicines.
  • Select the most appropriate non-surgical treatment.
  • Recognize the benefit of adjunctive homeopathic treatment.
  • Utilize correct prescription of identified medications
