Guenther Schuldt Filho

Dr. Guenther Schuldt Filho received his DDS (2006), MSc (2012) and his PhD (2016) from Federal University de Santa Catarina, Brazil. In 2014, Dr. Schuldt Filho served as a PhD Visiting Researcher at the University of Bern/Switzerland in the Oral Cell Biology Laboratory headed by Professor Reinhard Gruber. From 2015 to 2020 he was appointed Director of the MSc Program in Implant Dentistry/Periodontology at Sao Leopoldo Mandic. His academic career began in 2016 as Assistant Professor in Periodontology at University of Southern Santa Catarina. In 2018, Dr. Schuldt Filho was appointed Head of the College of Dentistry at UniSociesc, where he served until 2020.

Additionally, Dr. Schuldt Filho has published numerous peer-reviewed manuscripts in Clinical Oral Implants Research, Journal of Periodontology, Clinical Implant Dentistry and Related Research, the International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Implant Dentistry and the Journal of Prosthodontics. His research interests include peri-implantitis, alveolar ridge preservation and immediate implant placement. Parallel to his academic career, since 2006, Dr. Schuldt Filho maintained a private practice focused on Periodontology and comprehensive Implant Dentistry.

Currently, Dr. Schuldt Filho is appointed as Associate Professor in the Department of Periodontology at Nova Southeastern University.
