William Parker

Dr. William B. Parker is a Board Certified Periodontist who has been heavily involved in the clinical and didactic education of the Predoctoral students and Postgraduate residents at the College of Dental Medicine for ten years.

He is a graduate of the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry and received his specialty training in Periodontology from the Naval Postgraduate Dental School in Bethesda, Maryland.  He served in the Naval Dental Corps for over 25 years in a number of clinical, educational, management, and leadership positions in the United States, overseas, and aboard ship.  At NSU College of Dental Medicine he has served as Postgraduate Director and Chair of the Department of Periodontology, and is currently the Associate Dean for Advanced Education.

Dr. Parker holds dental licenses in three states and is a Diplomate of both the American Board of Periodontology, and the International College of Oral Implantologists.  He has been active in dental research and published in peer reviewed dental journals.
