Nurit Bittner

Dr. Bittner completed her education in dentistry from Central University of Venezuela in 2003, then obtained a Certificate of Graduate Study in Prosthodontics and Master of Science in Prosthodontics at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in 2008. Subsequently obtained a Doctor in Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the same institution in 2011. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics since 2010 and holds a license to practice in New York and Florida. Prior to joining Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine Department of Prosthodontics, Dr. Nurit was the program director of the Postgraduate Prosthodontics program at Columbia since 2013. From 2011 to 2013 she was the Associate Program Director of PG Prosthodontics and Associate Professor since 2019. She has received multiple awards and was part of the Board of Directors for the American College of Prosthodontists New York Section. She is also a fellow of the Greater New York Academy of Prosthodontists and Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU).

Dr. Bittner has also advised and mentored multiple master students and has conducted and contributed to extensive funded research studies, lectured nationally and internationally in implants, board preparation courses, literature review as well as practicing prosthodontics since 2009. She has authored a book chapter, published in respected peer-reviewed journals and contributed to editorials related to Prosthodontics.

As a Clinical Director of Postgraduate Prosthodontics Dr. Bittner, will report to the Chair and will work closely with Dr. Niranjan Joshi, program director, to enhance the educational vision of excellence of the department, contribute to the implementation of digital workflows, conducting lectures, mentoring residents, track patient satisfaction, assignments, student performance, case distribution and collaborate with other departments in the treatment of our patients.
