Biopsy Kits

The materials needed to send a biopsy specimen to NSU Oral Pathology Services will be sent to your office via USPS, per a phoned request by your office to (954) 262-7382 or an email to oralpath@nova.edu.

If  materials are needed urgently, please ask to have them sent via FedEx.

Enclosed in one set of Biopsy Kits are: 5 Triplicate Biopsy Requisition forms,  5 Formalin Solution bottles, 5 Plastic bags and 5 Prepaid return envelopes.

There is no charge for these materials.

Clinical Professor of Surgery, University of Miami School of Medicine. Professor, Department of Maxillofacial Medicine, Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine.

Dr. Stern has been a practicing oral maxillofacial pathologist for 51 years. A magna cum laude graduate of Hunter College, Dr. Stern received her D.D.S. from Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery in 1961. Dr. Stern co-authored: Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology. A Rationale for Diagnosis and Treatment. This book received The American Medical Writers Association Book of the Year Award in 2002.

Lynn W. Solomon D.D.S., M.S.

Lynn W. Solomon, D.D.S., M.S.Diplomate, American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology. Fellow, American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology. Professor, Department of Maxillofacial Medicine, Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine.

Dr. Solomon graduated cum laude from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, where she also obtained her master’s in Oral Sciences and postgraduate oral pathology training. She was board certified in oral pathology in 2005. Dr. Solomon completed a Head and Neck Pathology Fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine and was a faculty member at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.

Patricia Barros, D.M.D.

Diplomate, American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology. Fellow, American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology. Assistant Clinical Professor, Department of Maxillofacial Medicine, Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine.

Dr. Barros graduated from the University of Florida College of Dentistry in Gainesville, FL and received her undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire. She completed her residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology at Long Island Jewish Medical Center/Northwell Health in New Hyde Park, NY.
