Michael A. Siegel, DDS, MS, FDS RCSEd is Professor and Chair, Department of Diagnostic
Sciences, College of Dental Medicine and Professor of Internal Medicine and Dermatology,
College of Osteopathic Medicine at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale,
Florida. Dr. Siegel is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh), a Diplomate
of the American Board of Oral Medicine, a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry,
a Fellow of the International College of Dentists, and a Fellow of the American College
of Dentists. He holds a Masters degree in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology. He has
been included in the International Who’s Who in Medicine.
Dr. Siegel has lectured internationally and has published extensively in the field
of Oral Medicine to include a textbook on diagnosis and management of common oral
lesions. He has published over 80 peer-reviewed manuscripts as well as 13 textbook
chapters. Dr. Siegel is a section editor of the Journal of the American Dental Association,
serves on the editorial boards of Oral Surgery Oral Medicine Oral Pathology the Journal
of Interdisciplinary Dentistry and Inside Dentistry. He is also a journal reviewer
for 15 international and national professional publications. He is a past President
the Supreme Chapter of Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national dental honor society. He
has also served as President, American Academy of Oral Medicine, President, American
Board of Oral Medicine, Chair, American Dental Association's Council on Scientific
Affairs, Member, Board of Trustees, American Academy of Oral Medicine and Vice President
of Faculties, Board of Directors, American Dental Education Association. He is a Life
Member of the American Dental Association. Dr. Siegel is a native of Baltimore, Maryland.
