Dr. Oswaldo Nieves received his D.D.S. from the Pontifical Javeriana University School
of Dentistry in Bogotá, Colombia, practiced for a few years, then moved to NYC to
pursue his post graduate education where he completed the International Program in
Prosthodontics, was awarded the Clinical Fellowship in Research, and completed the
Certificate in Advanced Education Program in Prosthodontics at the New York University
College of Dentistry.
Dr. Nieves served for 7 years as Director of the Preclinical Education and Advanced Simulation, as well as Course Director for the Complete Removable Dental Prosthesis for the undergraduate program and conducted the Introduction to Complete Dentures for the Advanced Program in Prosthodontics at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in the Department of Preventive and Restorative Dentistry.
He has presented in multiple local and international dental meetings in the use of Advanced Simulation in Dentistry and was a member of the Biomaterials Committee, the Digital Dentistry Committee, The Committee of Climate and Cultural growth and serves as faculty advisor for the LGBTQA+ club, The Prosthodontics Club, the HSDA, being actively involved with many aspects of student’s life. He is the director of digital education in the department and also of the removable prosthodontics courses
