Dr. Elaine Lara was born and raised in Venezuela, where she received her Dental Degree at “Universidad Central de Venezuela” in 1999.  Her increased interest in Prosthodontics and Cosmetic Dentistry led her to seek advanced post graduate education in this field obtaining a Certificate in Prosthodontics from Nova Southeastern University in 2003.  She enjoys lecturing and learning new techniques to offer her patients the best care possible.

Dr. Lara is an Assistant Professor at NSU College of Dental Medicine, she has been actively involved in organized dentistry as a member of the American College of Prosthodontists, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, the American Dental Education Association, as well as the Hispanic Dental Association South Florida Professional Chapter as founding board member.

Dr. Lara has been part of NSU-CDM Faculty Practice since 2011. Her experience in the restoration of complex cases, patient management and caring ways are evident in her dental practice, where her patient’s needs and comfort are her top priority.

In her leisure time Dr. Lara loves spending time with her husband and two children.  She also enjoys travelling and relaxing times at the beach.
