Dr. Kapit is one of the original faculty that started the orthodontic program at Nova Southeastern University where he is an assistant professor. He is listed in the book Trailblazers and Innovators which is a history of the orthodontic community in Florida written under the guidance of the Florida Association of Orthodontists. Dr. Kapit received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the Medical College of Virginia and a Certificate of Graduate Study and Master of Science in Orthodontics from Boston University School of Graduate Dentistry. He teaches cephalometric analysis which includes diagnosis, treatment planning and mechanotherapy uses the Bidimensional orthodontic technique. In addition, he supervises residents in the clinic where they learn to treat patients. Dr. Kapit is an active member of the of the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, Florida Dental Association, Florida Association of Orthodontists and its constituent societies.
Dr. Kapit is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics. He is the Advocate from the American Board of Orthodontics to Nova University School of Dental Medicine Department of Orthodontics.
