Rashondia Gaines is a Florida native. She is an Assistant Professor at Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine and the Director of Faculty Practice. She has been employed at the College of Dental Medicine since 1999.
Dr. Gaines received a BA degree in Chemistry from Hampton University. She received her DDS degree from Virginia Commonwealth University-Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry. Dr. Gaines received an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) certificate from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry. She received a MS degree in Medical Education from Nova Southeastern University. She currently is a Team Leader for the Predoctoral Clinic for third and fourth year dental students and is a Co-Clinic Director to the Predoctoral Clinic and Clinic Director for Faculty Practice and Predoctoral Evening Clinic.
Not only does Dr. Gaines work as an educator, she is actively involved in her community. She is a mentor for Women of Tomorrow in which she mentors at risk teenage girls at McArthur High School. Dr. Gaines has participated in numerous dental missions to Jamaica, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and Guatemala. She does presentations to local elementary and high school students about dentistry and participates in health fairs. Dr. Gaines has presented to local and national organizations regarding dental health.
