Jennie L. Ison
Dr. Jennie L. Ison, is a member of faculty in the department of Diagnostic Sciences, renders microscopic diagnoses of oral pathology specimens received through the university’s biopsy service and participates in pre-doctoral dental education through lectures and clinical consults. Dr. Ison received her dental degree in 2012 from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry, after which she practiced general dentistry in Lexington, Kentucky for several years. In 2019, Dr. Ison completed an Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology residency at Long Island Jewish Hospital in New Hyde Park, New York. She was named Chief Resident for 2018-2019 and received the Resident of the Year award for 2017-2018. Dr. Ison was appointed as a Teaching Associate in Dental Medicine by the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell for her educational efforts in other post-graduate medical and dental programs at Northwell Health and lectures to pre-doctoral dental students at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine and Touro College of Dental Medicine.
