Instructor Bio:

Dr. Thomas Leonard

Thomas developed a passion for dentistry while pursuing a degree in Integrated Biology at the University of Florida. He began his dental training at NSU’s College of Dental Medicine in 2007. He joined the Psi-Omega Professional Dental Fraternity, became a student member of the American Dental Association, and was appointed to the American Student Dental Association Board of Directors—all during his freshman year. Dr. Leonard continued to hold many leadership positions throughout his training, culminating in senior class president and vice president of the Oral Surgery Honors Society. He graduated in May 2011, obtained his Florida dental license, and joined a private practice in Sunrise, Florida. Dr. Leonard is also a clinical adjunct faculty member at NSU’s College of Dental Medicine, where he works with third-and fourth-year students while they craft treatment plans and complete comprehensive dental care on patients. He is also on the board review faculty team that prepares senior dental students for their various licensure examinations. Currently, Dr. Leonard is pursuing a fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry and serves our country as an officer in the Army Reserve Dental Corps.
